“Study Abroad Day” in Japan

In Japan, November 12th is designated as “Study Abroad Day.” Last year, JAOS applied to the official commemoration agency to establish this day as a formal commemorative date to promote study abroad awareness in Japan, and it was approved. In celebration of “Study Abroad Day,” JAOS organizes the JAOS Study Abroad Award ceremony, which is open for submissions from individuals with study abroad experiences. Applicants create essays and appeal videos under the theme of “Study Abroad that Significantly Impacted My Life” and submit them to JAOS. JAOS selects three winners and awards them cash prizes. The ceremony is livestreamed on YouTube, and a well-known YouTuber serves as the MC for the event.
