Increasing number of Korean students going abroad to pre-COVID levels and changing markets
Since 2020, many Korean students have had difficulty in school and life due to the COVID-19 pandemic. International students from any country had similar experiences, but various difficulties occurred, such as entry and departure restrictions and online classes. Now, as it turns into an endemic, it is recovering to a level similar to the statistics of studying abroad before the COVID-19 epidemic. During the first half of the year 2023, the recovery of the study-abroad market recovered remarkably. Industry insiders, however, say that the recent surge in the exchange rate and the economic slowdown have dampened the growth rate again.
