FDSV, the Germany-based association of outbound language tour operators and inbound German language providers, has announced new initiatives including an amendment to maximum class size guidelines, an ‘inspected’ certificate for partner schools overseas, and an update to its sustainability code.
The latest moves from FDSV were agreed at the association’s recent spring members meeting, held in Duisburg.
- One of the agreements at the meeting was a change to the FDSV guidelines about maximum number of participants in class, which the association previously stipulated as 15.
- The association has also agreed to start issuing an ‘FDSV inspected’ certificate to partner schools overseas that have been successfully inspected by the association.
- Members also agreed on the new FDSV ‘Sustainability Codex’, which contains a number of requirements that member companies should adhere to. You find more details at https://fdsv.de/en/nachhaltigkeits-kodex/
- Following the meeting, FDSV hosted the ‘Shaping the Future’ conference in collaboration with four other associations from the youth travel sector, which welcomed more than 100 participants.
- The association also confirmed Alpha Aktiv Language School in Heidelberg as a new member in the inbound division of FDSV. (www.alpha-heidelberg.de)
