JAOS has been actively working to expand the study abroad market and strengthen international cooperation through renewed partnerships and strategic meetings.

In December 2024 JAOS renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with English UK, enhancing the presence of the English UK brand in the Japanese market and promoting actively English study abroad opportunities in the UK for Japanese students.

In the same month of December 2024, the Felca Asia meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Tokyo, attended by representatives from Japan’s JAOS, Korea’s KOSA, Thailand’s TIECA, and Taiwan’s IECA.

In February, Felca Vice President and JAOS Executive Secretary, Tatsu Hoshino hosted casual meetings in Bangkok and Taipei, where he discussed the importance of conducting annual surveys to understand the trends of study abroad students in each country. Using the case of Japan’s JAOS as an example, he explained this to members of TIECA in Thailand and IECA in Taiwan. There was a lively exchange of opinions on this topic.
